Standard 8 10 Pennant Fuel Filler Pipe External Gromments
There are two types of external fuel grommets: Early (to March 1955) and Later.
The early grommet is a circular shape. It fits into the body above the rear wing,
The later, more common grommet, is an oval shape and fits into the rear wing.
The change between types took place in approximately March 1955.
Please note: The Pennant, Companion and Commercial Derivatives all have the later grommet.
Standard issued the following guidance for Dealers advising the chassis number change over point. However, I have found exceptions!
Standard 8 – CS 50806
